It's hard to believe that it's already February; the good news is that means that the Theatre Season is in full swing.
But alas, there's some not-so-good news;

- Anagram Entertainment has had to delay its opening of Top Gun: The Musical due to an illness in the cast. We know you're heartbroken, but you'll be able to see it starting Thursday February 9th at Empire Stage. And then you'll believe a jet can fly.
- Sadly, we might have to wait a bit longer for the next show at The Women's Theatre Project, which recently lost its venue. It hasn't been able to find a suitable alternative, so it's postponed the rest of its season until it finds a space. But we have no doubt that they'll be back on the scene before too long.

The New Theatre presents yet world premiere play, Winter, by Robert Caisley.
The Miami Acting Company presents The Odd Couple at The South Miami-Dade Cultural Center through February 19. We're not familiar with this company, but the show's director is Ken Kurtz, former chair of the Theatre Department at UM.

Parade Production's inaugural production of Donald Margulie's Brooklyn Boy will play through February 12, 2012.
The Stage Door presents Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers at its Coral Springs location through March 4. We have also learned that they cast Ken "Cast Ken!" Clement.
The critics are raving about Next to Normal at Actors' Playhouse. It plays through February 12, 2012.
The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity plays at the Caldwell Theatre Company through February 12, 2012. Another favorite with the critics!
Laffing Matterz plays the Broward Center's Abdo New River Room, for its third season of dinner and comedy.

The GableStage's critically acclaimed production of The Motherfucker with the Hat ends its run on Sunday February 5, 2012. You might meet playwright Stephen Adly Guirguis if you do, according to The Drama Queen.
Snoopy! The Musical winds up its run at Area Stage on February 5, 2012.
Second City in Laugh Out Loud plays February 2 only at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center.
