We're almost to the end of 2012; just a few more weeks. This last year has flown past. But the end of the year has nothing to do with the theatre season; that's in full swing. There are loads of shows to see; so many shows that the critics have been hard-pressed to keep up with them all.Heck, we've been having trouble just keeping up with the critics!
And the thing is, there are even MORE shows opening this week than last week, so it's taken a little extra time to put it all together for you.
Here's what's happening in this week's late edition of The Scene:
opening...
The much-anticipated production of The Last Five Years opens at Actors' Playhouse this weekend.
The Plaza Theatre presents its next non-musical revue production, Murray Schisgal's comedy Luv.
A Delicate Balance opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks
this weekend; they've done a number of excellent productions of Edward
Albee's plays, and there's no reason to think they won't add to that
record with this one.
Miami Theater Company opens Imaginarium in its Sandbox studio. Through December 22.
The Theatre at Arts Garage is back with Exit, Pursued by Bear, through December 22.
The granddaddy of all musicals, Showboat, opens at the Broward Stage Door Theatre.
