The days are getting shorter and darker; no wait, that’s just the storms we’ve been enduring all week. The days aren’t THAT short and dark, yet.
But with all the rain, it’s a good excuse to sit inside a nice, dry, theater and take in a show. Yes, it’s a quiet week for theatre this week, but that’s not the same as no theatre. There’s a fine selection of shows to be seen.
Here’s what’s playing this week on The Scene:
opening...
The Alliance Theatre Lab opens The Aliens at Barry University’s Pelican Theater, through October 4.
you still haven't missed...
Empire Stage presents its production of Mommie Queerest, through October 4, 2015.
The South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center presents the world premiere of Tsunami, by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Nilo Cruz and Michiko Kitayama Skinner, through October 3, 2015.
Broward Stage Door Theatre presents The Fantasticks, through October 11, 2015.
MicroTheatre Miami is running three plays in English and four plays in Spanish on Thursdays. Check it out: you can choose which plays you see, and you only pay for the ones you choose. It's a sweet deal, and a great night out.
coming and going...
The Broward Center for the Performing Arts presents two performancs of One Man Breaking Bad - the Unauthorized Parody this Sunday, September 20th.
